Southern Indiana FAMILY Photographer
photographer and fellow mama with a heart for preserving life's most precious seasons
Hey there, I’m Kayla Divine
mama to two energetic little boys, wife to Josh, follower of Jesus Christ, and the photographer behind Divine Photography.
My photography journey began when my husband bought me my very first camera after our wedding in 2018. Our wedding photographer had inspired me so much that I quite literally paid her $100 to teach me how to shoot in manual mode!
After that, I photographed ANYONE who would let me snap a few photos of them, but I quickly discovered that babies and kids were my absolute favorite to document as they grew.
what i love about photographing babies & kids
There's just something special about their unpredictability and all those little details that are here one minute and gone the next. I love that every session I get to photograph is completely different -- because every child brings their own unique personality to our time together.
a little more about me
Most days you'll find me chasing my kids around (with a morning coffee or afternoon coke in hand), snacking too much, (sweets are my favorite), or looking for new adventures to experience with my family. (I love watching my littles excitement for something new).

"Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him" (Psalms 127:3)
my calm, unrushed approach to your photo session
Being a mom myself, I truly get what it's like trying to wrangle kids for photos (trust me, I've been there!). That's why I do things a bit differently:
Feel prepared before ever stepping into the room
I know just thinking about a photo session can be overwhelming - so my whole experience is focused around making you feel prepared even before the day of your session arrives.
no rushing during your session - ever
When you come for a session, you have all the time you need. If your little one needs a snack break or just isn't feeling it right away, or you need a quick feeding break, that's totally okay!
i’ll follow your child’s lead
Whether your kiddo is excited and energetic or calm and quiet, I'll let them stay true to their energy. I've learned that giving kids space to be themselves leads to the most genuine photos.
